Velvet Cardi Crochet Pattern

This listing is for the crochet pattern to make the Velvet Cardi in Adult sizes.  

Velvet is everywhere I look right now. I’ve seen gorgeous velvet cardigans at Target, TJ Maxx, in the mall… all over the place. If there’s one thing I know, making your own cardigans is way more exciting than buying one off the rack at big box stores - and cheaper, and customizable too!

Pattern Sizes - (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

Pattern Notes:
The chain at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch.

Bernat Velvet Yarn (Bulky/315 yards per skein) 
-approx. 720 yards for S (three balls) 
-approx. 800 yards for M (three balls) 
-approx. 900 yards for L (three balls) 
-approx. 1050 yards for XL (four balls) 
-approx. 1120 yards for 2XL (four balls) 
-approx. 1180 yards for 3XL (four balls) 
-approx. 1225 yards for 4XL (four balls) 
-approx. 1350 yards for 5XL (five balls) 
Crochet hook in size I/5.5mm

The body is worked in vertical rows.

Keep your tension on the tight side, especially on the decreases.

Leave longer yarn tails than normal to fully weave in ends.
